Checks

Had a Mammogram yesterday and have a gynecologist appt today. The oldest Goddaughter (who's 17) said "Yuk, What a week!" and I replied, "Yeah, but I made a lot of people smile this week!". Praise God we're alive! You may reflect on the bad things at the closing of this year, but remember, God is Glorious, and he gave us another year to live and learn. God Bless!

Scoot

We had a great Christmas! Like Robert said, Christmas as Granny's (what we call Christmas Eve with Mom's side) was the best ever having everybody together. The love was truly in the air and it meant so much. Yet again the Cuz and I were on the same page….we gave each other frames with pics of us together! Haha! The girls got so much stuff and they especially loved all their gifts, but the scooters from Santa was the biggest hit. Unfortunately they do not bother the hardwoods, so they ride them around the house. I heard a very good quote that made me think….at first I died laughing, then I felt ashamed cause it really was true….."I may not be a great Christian, but I am a great survivalist!" I just keep thinking…..We can do all things thru Christ who strengthens us! God Bless!

Christmas

We all have special memories of Christmas. Mine run deep with family and tradition. Memories of all my family filled to the brim in a trailer, or sitting with Aunt Shirley and I playing, or just being excited and feeling so loved. I think sometimes we take the season for granted. I try to teach the kids about being a good neighbor by delivering "Christmas Goodies" to the neighbors running thru dark yards….all three girls and me….to knock on a door with me telling them to do it, and them arguing while laughing as to who is going to do the deed. Putting the Angel on the tree or getting all of us to smile in the camera. Singing Christmas songs in church and swearing that Granny is singing as an angel looking down with the rest of the choir while Grindad laughs at something another angel said, or at himself for telling the joke in the first place. Taking the season for granted…..well Jesus was born this season, the very reason for it, sent here to save us, sent here by our

lately

Sorry folks, haven't been blogging lately. I've been tired, but come to find out I needed more iron! Please pray for those who are sick during the holidays. Now we think of sick as being in the hospital, and all levels of physical sickness, but please pray for those who have mental problems during this time. Those who have lost their faith or are just lonely. God heals all and especially during this time we need to remember the real reason for the season. JESUS! Amen. God Bless!

Lost and the dare

Eme lost her 2 nd tooth! She was so cute and handled it like a big girl. We had our church program Sunday night and they all read parts including Eme. I guess Daddy picked them up from school the other day and Alex had a candy cane that Eme wanted. Daddy hears Eme say, "If you don't give it to me I'm gonna poke you in the eye!" and Ele says in reply, "You aint gonna poke anybody Eme. " Lex agreed. Daddy hears something and turns to see Lex crying holding her nose. I guess Eme couldn't get to her eye cause her glasses! Eme got a whopping for it…from Da, which I'm sure in no way resembled any I ever got. Have a great day yall! God Bless!

Smarty Robert child

So Momma swears that Ele is just like Robert with her sassy mouth. Well yesterday Eme was whiny and Ele was irritated by it (what started the now famous Wal-Mart Cheese section scrappin), and Ele had gotten in the car, Eme went to get in the car and started hollering, I ask what was wrong very concerned and Eme said her foot was caught in the door. I turn to see when Ele says, "Eme, just open the door a little and get your foot in the car!" Eme does and Ele hollars out, "It's Amazin!" Eme pouts and we take off with me shakin my head. Have your own amazing day yall! God Bless!

work

So, Eme had her Christmas program tonight and she looked so cute! She sang at the mic with sunglasses and a Christmas ballcap! The funniest thing was when we got home and the girls were arguing who was going first to get their shower. Now they each have a first day, meaning they take turns on who goes first for the whole day. Ele's turn was today, but Eme wanted to go first. Ele says, "Eme you know I go first today!" Then in this whiny and 'how dare you' voice you hear Eme say, "UH! But ELLLLLLLEEEEEE…..I did ALLLLL the work"! God Bless!

passing

So all three girls had their first basketball practice Tuesday night. Eme did great and showed better ball control than most of the other girls, but then she did practice all last year and this is the first year for the majority of the girls. It's Eme's first year actually playing, but she practiced with the Ele and Lex all last year. She has trouble shooting, but she is the smallest on the court. Her coach is very nice and we are proud of Eme's skills. Now onto Ele and Lex…of course they gravitate to each other when they have partner stuff at the beginning of whatever they are doing. Their coach is a long time friend of ours, who is of average height, and he and Robert have had a teasing disposition with each other for years. Ele is of course the shortest and Lex is the tallest. They were doing drills on passing with the coach holding his arms up near the goal and they were supposed to pass to their partner and shoot. Now the whole time Ele kept trying to pass ove
