today

Have a safe and Happy Halloween!

I got this in an email today and I loved it. It tells what I try to say pretty well.

So while we have it, it's best we love it, care for it, fix it when it's
broken and heal it when it's sick. This is true for marriage ... and old
cars ... and children with bad report cards, and dogs with bad hips, and
aging parents and grandparents. We keep them because they are worth it,
because we are worth it.

God Bless!

princess

Eme is going to be a Barbie princess at school today. She looked so cute the other day. Our little princess is getting bigm but she's still my baby. She was gettting in the truck the other day to see the cows with Daddy and she told him, "Buckle up. We gotta be safe, cause I'm my Momma's baby!" Remember we are all God's children and he will keep us safe.

God Bless!

pray

Please pray for a guy I used to work with. He is on life support and needs a miracle! (Thanks for the info Todd!) Have a great day yall. We know miracles do happen!

God Bless!

now

Ihope that you have a great weekend, but more importantly a great day. LIVE in the moment, and LOVE in your heart...today.

imagine

Can you imagine a perfect world for yourself? A world where you have all the things in life that you ever wanted. Now stop and realize that for that to be possible you have to go thru hell to get there. Is it worth it? Now imagine that it happens and you have no choice. Can you still say that it is? It's easier to accept when you have no control over it isn't it? Guess what the later is EVERY day of your life. You have no control, now that's not to say you have no responsibility. You do, but God is with you...bank on that one.

rain rain

It's raining, and we have needed it badly. Why now we say? We needed it sooner. We needed it when it could have saved our crops. We needed it when it could have helped our trees. We needed it when our animals were suffering. How petty does that sound? We should be thankful that we are getting it now. Doesn't that happen many times in our lives? Things don't happen when we think they should. We question, debate, and otherwise just completely ungratefully disregard God's blessing when we don't know the whole picture of our lives. We need to be thankful for God's blessings when he gives them to us. He is our glorious God. Hallelujah!

God Bless!

great

Have a great day today. Live you life to it's fullest.

start

If you need a fresh start to fun the race don't think Monday is it. Today, at this very moment is it! Stop what you are doing now and go into the bathroom, sit and pray. Pray that when you walk out of that stall you are free from your burdens, and you are going to turn over a new leaf. You are going to live for God and You are going to show yourself, forget about others, that you love God. Make your relationship with God what it should be and the rest will fall in place.

God Bless!

OH...and David and Holly...Happy Anniversary! 5 Years!!!!

petty

Don't let the petty things that top the "To Do" list in your life win out against the more important things. Know that tomorrow may never come, today is here to live, and that ALL that stuff will be there tomorrow. Some of it may even go away on it's own, and make you wonder why it was even important at all.

worry

We've talked about worrying before, and how it does no good because we are not in control. Why worry? The girls devotional last night talked about in the Bible God says we are not to worry because he is in control and will take care of us. Why do I even need to discuss it if the Bible says it? We should just trust. It is a lot harder to trust than it seems with the devil placing items in front of us that seem overwhelming, daily and sometimes hourly. Folks, that trust is called faith. A faith that it is easy to say is in our daily lives, but you natural worriers, need to listen up, "suck it up", and live.

crazy

We hear on the news everyday of some celebrity doing something that most people would be scared to do. They act carelessly...why who knows. Because they feel they are untouchable, they think they are admired so much they can do anything, or is it that their lives are so far out of control that they are trying, much like a child, to find some type of structure in their lives? I think we just all need to look to God for control, realize none of us have it anyway, and trust that he is going to take care of us. When we do wrong in our lives, we say that we need God to be more involved in our lives. Why wouldn't it be the same for them?

God Bless!

dark

Do you know people who don't like the dark? Adults, kids, not many people like the dark. We imagine that there are things out in the dark we can't see, just waiting for us. Waiting to grab us just as soon as we turn on the light. Do you think that's how the devil works too? The difference is if we trust God we know that he is with us guiding us in the dark, holding us, and not letting us down. That when we think we are stumbling, really we are just not trusting. Know that God is in control (I say that a lot don't I?). Have a great week!

God Bless!

today

We get wrapped up in projects, ideas, wants, parties, and "have to" situations. Did you ever just decide to not think about it, not go, or say no in general? Sometimes it feels good. Take care of you and your family. Sometimes by doing nothing, you do the best you ever could. Pray today, for doing nothing through God's direction. Also, please pray for Momma again. We go to the neurologist today (last guy was a neurosurgeon). Have a great weekend!

God Bless!

tell me

When you find my brain...tell me. When you find the bus that hit me...tell me. When I have something in my nose...tell me. When I have something in my teeth...tell me. When I am dragging toilet paper behind me...tell me (or better yet, step on it for me, and then die laughing). When I need a laugh...tell me. When I need to shut up...tell me. When I need to speak up...tell me. When I need to fight...tell me. When I need to hold off...tell me. When I need to keep trying...tell me. When I need to see the obvious...tell me. When I need to pray...tell me. When I need a friend...you're there. When I don't even have to say a word, do a thing, or before I can even think it...you will.

month

Every month is called something different, wether it be celebration month, history month, or awareness month. When we hear it sometimes we know, then some of them we say, "Since when? That has to be new". October is and has been for a long time Breast Cancer Awareness month. We wear our pink pins during the month.
Quite a few years ago, on my ride into work, I heard a story, which made me sit in my car for a minute and dry my eyes before I went in the door. It said that there was an older man somewhere, in the summer and he had a pink pin on. Another person commented on why he had the pin on when it wasn't even October, and then on the fact that he was a man wearing it. He teared up and said, it was important to him to wear it because he had lost both his wife and daughter to the disease. He then stated that he loved them every month of the year, other than just October, so he wore his pin to try and bring awareness.
I love each of you very much. Please remind y…

enlighten

I loved this quote....think about it, the best thing we can give ourselves is confidence in who we are, and the acceptance that it is okay to be who you are (that was my part to add to the conversation the real quote follows)....

"Knowing others is wisdom; knowing yourself is enlightenment" - Lao Tzu

weekend

NOTHING planned for the weekend! Yeah!! I'm tired and I want to spend it at home. You don't realiza how much you take for granted until you don't have it. God gives us special items, monetary and not, that we get so used to having. Then when we don't anymore, or even temporarily, we are more thankful human beings. It shouldn't take that. Thank God for giving you the opportuniy to realize it without losing.

God Bless!

best

We tell our kids that all we ask is that they do their best. Yet, when it comes to our ownselves we beat ourselves up over stuff that is not in our control. When we stop and look we acknowledge that we have no control, but continue to analyze the situation and think of another way we could have done differrently. STOP it! You cannot say that your best is good enough, when your best is never good enough for you! You have to admit that you are not in control! God is!

keep prayin

Momma got a good report...no tumor, just a ball of veins in the center of her brain (going to recheck it in 6 to 12 months, but said it will probably be the same, that it may have been there all along). That's great news, but they still don't know what's causing her to be so sick and not act like herself. Please keep prayin. I schedule her appointment tomorrow with a neurologist (today was a neurosurgeon), and Daddy is going to get her into another ENT. They said that no surgery any which way, so it looks like we may be looking at medicine, and it may be she's having some small seizures, but that is a rare case, which for us is sometimes our usual. Hope yall have a great day!

diego's feet

Well, I have been maimed by my daughter....and by Goldilocks at that. We were tossing a Diego doll with plastic feet from one bed to the other, and Ele threw it and nailed me between the eyes. I have a cut and I think a bruise. She said, "Oh Momma...you're bweedin!" It was cute! Pray for Momma tomorrow around 2:30. We go to see the Neurologist.

busy

Busy weekend. We had the fall festival Saturday and yesterday went to church and recovered. I hope yall have a great beginning of the week! The preacher said to always smile at people yesterday (I smiled at him saying it, don't we always talk about it?)

God bless!
