memories

We all have Christmas memories. I can't think of Christmas without thinking of our Granny. One of the most generous women you would have ever met. She always did stuff for others, and people were never considered strays. She thought of the blood family and the "outlaws" as the same. She cared and tought us that it was just what you were supposed to do. She was an amazing woman who loved Christmas and Easter because the family was together, with the most at Christmas. She was known in the family for her mashed potatoes, boiled custard, and sweet tea. She was always upfront and honest, and she loved us all. Christmas Eve is still called Christmas at Granny's even though we now gather at the fellowship hall at church. I know she is home now on Christmas, but I know she's watching now and saying no matter what she is proud of us all. Granny, to me, was one of the greatest representatives of the reason for the season, and the giving it entails. She gave us

I got this email this morning. I tell the girls allt he time that they have choices in life, and when they make a choice there are consequences, good or bad depending on what they have choosen. Have a great day and weekend yall, and remember yall there is no such things as luck.....only blessings. "Each morning I wake up and say to myself, you have two choices today. You can choose to be in a good mood or ... you can choose to be in a bad mood. I choose to be in a good mood." God Bless!

reading

The girls were in the office alone and they were looking at a book. Eme says, "That sure does have a lot of "S's" in it"....I guess it came out....."That sure does have a lot of asses in it!" Of course Ele and Lex came to us to tattle, and Eme well at first she was defensive about it, then swhe got embarassed. Have a great day yall! Pleas pray for all of those who are traveling this Christmas season! God Bless!

crack

Ele was trying to talk about some woman on TV's clevage and she called it "Boobie Crack"...what do you say to that? Have a great day yall! God Bless!

mankind

I remember different "phases" of my life where I found my compasion for mankind slipped or it seemed as though they were "lost" to me....do you know what I mean? It was if I had lost hope that the majority of the world truly cared, and in turn my patience and faith in turn seemed like it was gone as well. Lately I have found this to be true, yet again, and it has bothered me a great deal. I can remember the times in my life specifically, and each time something dramatic "woke" me up out of it and made me realize that there are Angels among us. Is it that or is it that the devil works in our lives, and then God saves us? I thought about it and prayed going into work this morning. When I did.... I understood, that by admiting that I was scared because of my feelings that I was facing the devil. How truly blessed I felt when I knew I was not alone in the fight. We walk everyday with Angels, we just don't know, and then when we get that glimpse (of

website

You may have seen this in emails, but it's the first I've seen, and I think it's a great idea!!! We all read chain emails constantly, fill our the questions, but do some giving during this holiday season to those in need. Much of the time we do something for those who do nothing for us (which is great), but what about doing somehting for those who do SO MUCH..... If you go to this web site, www.LetsSayThanks.com you can pick out a thank you card and Xerox will print it and it will be sent to a soldier that is currently serving in Iraq . You can't pick out who gets it, but it will go to a member of the armed services. How AMAZING it would be if we could get everyone we know to send one!!! It is FREE and it only takes a second. God Bless!

yeah

Momma did great! She had her surgery this afternoon and the Dr said it was a success! Your prayers did the trick again! The girls had their program and did well also. I guess Eme was in the Bookfair and said to a friend of hers that she wanted this one book, and Anita said that it was too much. Eme said that she had lots of "cents". Anita replied, "Honey I'm sure you do!" Hope all of yall have a safe and happy weekend! God Bless!

pray

Tomorrow Momma is going to have surgery to fix the hole in her heart. She has to be in the hospital overnight. Once she's had it, she should breathe better, be able to have her knees replaced, and have more energy. Please pray for her. We know the power of prayer. Tonight it was just Eme and I downstairs (up way past bedtime) and she came into the office and said, "Momma what does a snowman two dots and a four and a one mean?" I said, "What? Show me." She took me in the living room and said see... then she pointed at the large digital clock! 8:41. Smart girl! Have a good day and keep up those prayers! God Bless!

We made Christmas pictures last night! Here's the one of Ele , Eme , and I. Also I updated my blog profile pic. For those of you who didn't see me with Ele on the TV....Towards the beginning of the year I quite fighting trying to color it light like I used to be, and accepted that my hair was dark now. Different family members of mine had a VERY hard time dealing with it dark. I just said that is how it is now.....then God changed it again. It started getting redder. So I went with it...now I just keep going with it. About every eight weeks it changes a tone or shade, and even has a little gray in it, but because it is always changing I just use a gentle colorant on it and go with it to keep it all over consistent .....I think I frustrate Michelle (beautician/friend) though cause I really don't care that much about my hair anymore. She doesn't say much though, just well when you go without it's really not that big of a deal. I think other people have a harder time

girls

Friday night the girls had fun. If their personalities were switched, Lex would be in the Little girls WNBA. Lex was the tallest and stood with her arms crossed most of the time, cause she was nervous, and some of it watching her little best friend who arrived early to her own practice. Ele on the other hand, tried to throw her hip into a little girl with legs like tree trunks, steal a ball, and block the goal. Towards the end Lex warmed up, the coach really worked with her. At the end Robert practiced with all three girls, but somehow he kept "accidently" knocking Eme's balls in the corner so she would have to chase them! She cackled the whole time! Hope yall had a great weekend, and have a great day tomorrow! God Bless!

ball

Tommorrow the girls (Lex and Ele) have their first basketball practice....say a prayer for them! Have a great weekend yall! Don't do too much shoppin! God Bless!

confidence

Well, the Coach at school called Robert to the side this morning and wanted to speak with him concerning no other than......Eme. Yep! You guessed it we were waiting on the talk. Well, He started off with, "That Eme, now...." Then he continues, "She is a good student. You know she comes in the gym with confidence. She 's not wary like the other ones. She takes the bull by the horns." All Robert could say was, "Well thank you." haha! Yet again, she has em wrapped! God Bless!

dirty jobs

We're jus sitting up in bed watching the show Dirty Jobs. We watched it a lot while I was in the hospital, cause this station was one of the few we liked. Man some of these jobs are just down right nasty. Isn't it amazing that we gripe daily about some part of our jobs, but in comparison, it's nothing. When I want to complain I have to remind myself that it's really not so bad. God gives us the bad times, so that we appreciate the good. Have a great day! What is it they say....it could always be worse! God Bless!

Thanksgiving

We had a great Thanksgiving! We are very blessed. Hope all of you had great ones. Now pretend it is Thanksgiving again....wait! I promise you will gain no calories out of this! While you are pretending it's Thanksgiving...think of everyone going around the table and telling what they are most thankful for...sitting around the table are those that you love who are here now, and those that have moved on. Did you smile? Was Jesus seated there? You should smile. We all have so much to be thankful for. Have a great day yall! Oh... and if Jesus wasn't seated there, don't worry. He always can be at a moment's notice. God Bless!
