pray

Please pray for a cousin of ours who's husband is not doing well. They have given him one week, and they celebrated their 49th wedding anniv this past Saturday. They are great people who prayed and supported us through everything. Please pray for them to have peace through everything. God Bless!

waves

Sometimes in our lives we face storms. Everyone of us, not just my obvious one, face these storms that create waves in our lives. We can face these alone, or with help guiding us through them, bringing us up above them, to see a clear horizon. I have always loved Psalms, and here is a peaceful example. Please continue to pray for those who are sick and their families. Also, for the ones fighting their own battles, that seem so large. God Bless! He stilled the storm to a whisper; the waves of the sea were hushed. -Psalm 107:29

nod

Do you find yourself meeting someone on the road, and they wave. Now for some unknown reason you don't wave back, but instead nod your head. As if you're saying, "I gotcha." Now instead of noding, why don't we make ourselves wave. Those strangers might not see the nod, but they will see you smile while you wave. I always say to perk up someone's day, but think about all those people on the road who think they are at the end of theirs. You can make a differnece....one wave and smile at a time. God Bless!

Ele

Image
Well, Ele lost another tooth, and we took her birthday pics today.....she's gonna be 8!!!! Wow how time does fly. Here's my fav pic that didn't make the cut. Her hair is getting longer, and I asked her if she was gonna let it grow out, and she said yes. Then cut it off again! I'm very proud of her. Eme is facing her first day with all the other students, and her first full week, so please pray for her! Have a good one! God Bless!

time

The Olympics....we watch them root for "our team" and feel the joy and tears. I heard something funny tonight. the #2 hurdler talking about the #1 said, "I was keeping up with him the whole way, but he was ahead." Sometimes what we wish for, strive for, and pray for does not happen the way we want. It DOES happen the way God wants, we just may not know the reason...yet. "To everything there is a season, a time for every purpose under heaven: A time to weep, a time to laugh, a time to mourn, and a time to dance." Ecclesiastes 3:1,4. Have a great weekend! God Bless!

1st day

Image
Eme's 1st day of Kindergarten was a hit! She took off without us and flew! The teachers and staff called her "little Robert" and her teacher said she reminded her more of me than Ele did...I don't know why! She had fun and was out like a light tonight! Her she is...the big girl...or as Eme used to say...the Super girl!~ Have a great weekend! God Bless!

ride baby ride

Image
Yesterday, Ele learned to ride her bike without training wheels!!! Daddy taught her just like he taught me. We were so proud. Robert got home a little later and got to watch again.....and I took pics! Today Eme goes to school for the first day of Kindergarten! Pray for her and for us. The baby is a big girl!

ya never know

Ya never know...you think you want one thing, you think you have it all figured out.....youudon't know the whole story,,,,,,,,,but God does! Don't ever have a set in stone opinion or plan because it won't be. God will change it and you if you open your eyes. Know that what you are seeing or thinking can change at any minute, that doesn't mean you have to like it, but if you accept that it is possible and you are NOT in control....it will be a lot easier on you. Also if you do trust in him, you will see that in the end ya never knew anyway. God Bless~!

views

Yeah....it's really opinions we're meaning when we call it views. I don't think so though. Views like opinions can be shared, they can be individual, but they morph from a opinion to a view when people follow it. They join in the belief of your view, with the understanding that there is a greaterr "cause" behind it. A reason for it to matter. I found this quote and I like it, although it was written by questionable person, this quote is VERY true. When we ask someone how something happened, their opinion may be skewed by previous experiences that you may not know about. For instance, if I react to someone discussing stem cell research, and their view that it is only done on babies, how am I educating them on their ignorance. NO! I come off looking like Chemo really messed my brain up. If we give people the facts, the opinion that someone else may have can be evolve into a great view. Let's hope that God's view is seen everywhere. God Bless! &quo

register

Well....ALL three girls are going to school this morning to register!!!! AHHH!!! Also Robert and I are married 10 years today!!! Eme is so big, and she is so proud, and there is no fear. April woke Eme up this morning saying, "Eme! Get up you get to go to school today and meet your teacher!" Eme with her eyes closed and not missing a beat says, "Do I have to get up I already know who my teacher is?" We know who our teacher is too....The Almighty. Rise and shine and give Glory to God....today! God Bless! p.s. Say a little prayer for us tomorrow too....Robert and I are walking in a 5k! Can you believe it....a little over 2 years ago I couldn't walk 5 ft! Thanks for the prayers! Yall got me here!

shots

Tomorrow the baby goes for her kindergarten shots....she is nervous because her sister told her. Ele, now you have to talk to her ahead of time, explain and let her know everything that is going on. Eme, well that is another story. With Eme you spring it on her and tell her to suck it up, else she worries. Please pray for her tomorrow morning, as she will be a big girl....even more. God Bless!

America

Don't know if it's true, but I love it anyway! Grandmas -Gotta Love 'Em!!! Here's a quote from a government employee who witnessed a recent interaction between an elderly woman and an antiwar protester in a Metro station in DC: There were protesters on the train platform handing out pamphlets on the evils of America . I politely declined to take one. An elderly woman was behind me getting off the escalator and a young (20ish) female protester offered her a pamphlet, which she politely declined. The young protester put her hand on the old woman's shoulder as a gesture of friendship and in a very soft voice said, 'Lady, don't you care about the children of Iraq ?' The old woman looked up at her and said, ' Honey, my father died in France during World War II, I lost my husband in Korea , and a son in Vietnam. All three died so you could have the right to stand here and bad mouth our country. If you touch me again, I'll stick this umbr

slime

We had a great VBS! We mastered the recipie for slime so I thought I'd share. All the one's we found on the internet were the same, but it did not work for us, so as most of my creations we mutated it. SLIME Take a quart size ziplock baggie (freezer kind = thicker is preferable). Put in it... 1/4 c water 2T Elmers glue (works better with Elmers) food coloring of your choice close bag and mix REALLY good add 2 heaping Tablespoons of Borax washing powdersclose bag fast and mix immediately! That's it! Have fun and if you keep it in the frige it will keep longer. God Bless!
