worry

We've talked about worrying before, and how it does no good because we are not in control. Why worry? The girls devotional last night talked about in the Bible God says we are not to worry because he is in control and will take care of us. Why do I even need to discuss it if the Bible says it? We should just trust. It is a lot harder to trust than it seems with the devil placing items in front of us that seem overwhelming, daily and sometimes hourly. Folks, that trust is called faith. A faith that it is easy to say is in our daily lives, but you natural worriers, need to listen up, "suck it up", and live.

A girl I work with's daughter was in the Mexican resturant eating when she felt something lick and nibble her foot. She looked under the table and saw...yep you guessed it....a mouse. She screams, kicks the mouse and looks and the mouse can't run...she's broke it's leg. So the waiters got the mouse, and she got her meal for free, but she couldn't eat it! haha! Moral of the story. strength

Some days we don't feel as though we have the strength to do much of anything.  To get up, to eat, to not eat, to fight the daily battle of traffic, work, or relationships....why?  Mainly because we lose our confidence.  Our confidence in the ability to "handle" things.  Remember the verse: "I  can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me." Phillipians 4:13.    We have talked before about how we are not alone, but we have not discussed how the devil attacks our confidence in the ability to achieve.  The ability that when we are doing what the Lord wants we can accomplish it through Him...not alone.  Repeatedly through the Bible God says that he will not forsaken us for he is with us.  If you have a doubt about something, first is it something that God wishes, second if it is then know that the devil is in play...including the attempted breakdown of your inner strength.  After you realize that keep telling yourself that God is with you and you have the
