plans

I'm off today and next week…whooohooo! We have plans, and plans, and plans! One of the thing that I have learned is that if your PLANS do not go right DON'T get upset. Now if you notice I did not capitalize the most important word of that scentence. YOUR……They are your plans, not God's. He may have other plans for you. If you get stuck somewhere behind someone struggling….help them. It may not be in your timeframe, but it may be in God's. Open your heart, your mind, and be flexible. You'll be happier! Have a great weekend! God Bless!

EYE BALL STORE

This is one for the books……and yes it was Eme. Eme, Ele, and I were in the pool swimming and I asked Eme what she wanted for her birthday. She says she wants to go to Wal-Mart and pick out a toy. Ele immediately speaks up and says, "You Momma don't like going to Wal-Mart!" Eme says, "Well, what about the eye ball store? Momma, you can take me to the eye ball store and I can pick out something." I am so confused at this point and I say, "Huh…what eye ball store?" She then holds up her little fingers as if she is making an ok sign and looks through the circle her fingers are making. "You know Momma the eye ball store". I said, "Honey I'm sorry, but I really don't know what store you're talking about." Eme then says, "You know Ele where you get your Pokemon cards?" I then started laughing and hugging her and said, "Honey do you mean Target?" I hugged her and told her it was so cute! That'...

MUCH

Much…what a word! You have too MUCH to do, you have so MUCH to be blessed for in your life, …I could go on, but MUCH can be detrimental and it can be a livesaver…..I see MUCH as a good thing. I have MUCH love. Thank God today for the MUCH in your life! God Bless!

PEACE

We have all heard the term the "peace that passes understanding". Let's think about that. Peace that PASSES understanding. First you immediately after reading it numerous times feel that there is an intense feeling that is associated with it. As if you are going thru very rigorous troubles trying to understand something…..then finally WHAM! The light bulb goes on and you understand it….or as I 'm beginning to realize you come to accept how things really are. Once you TRULY have that acceptance, that true understanding of how things are, you receive a peace (grace from God) that is so wonderful. Think about it pray about it, and may God grant you the peace that passes understanding today. Have a great one yall! God Bless!

I was sending Robert a pic of the girls and came accross this one. This pic is from April at the TN Aquarium. Eme is doing her silly fake smile, but I thought it was good of all of us...I think I love it because it shows how they look like me! Please pray for a friend of mine who just found a spot on her Thyroid and Breast. Pray hard! Have a great weekend yall! God Bless!

Zeus

Image
Zeus was trying to climb over Atlas this afternoon to get to Eme in this pic. Less than 30 min later we lost him. When Robert came home and pulled in the drive he didn't know it but Atlas ran down the road (to get to Crazy Lady's house so he could "play" with her dog...it's the first time he has tried to do it) and Zeus tried to follow. By the time Robert got the car parked Zeus had already been hit. He died immediately, and didn't suffer. We told the girls that he passed doing what he loved to do...playing and chasing. As with most things in their lives we tried to make this a learning lesson for the girls. We told them that this was a perfect example of how you take nothing for granted, you live in today, and you enjoy life because you never know what will happen. Please pray for Robert and the girls. Robert had to bury the first dog that was really his, and Eme lost one of her "buddies". Ele and I, well we are animal lovers, and we will...

tired

We had a great Relay, caught 6 "Barn kitty's" (who weren't ours) and had Homecoming, ate, and singing at church this weekend. What a blessing in our lives. We're just tired this morning. Hope everyone has a great day yall! God Bless!

relay

Tonight we have our Relay for Life. Our team at work, which I am proudly captain, has done well this year, not as great as last year, but considering the economy, I am very proud. I do feel a special connection to the American Cancer Society because they offered so much to help me. They are a cause that I believe in. For those of you who have not had the pleasure of experiencing one, you need to. Especially the luminaria ceremony, the honoring of those who have made it, and in memory of those who have not. I believe that every survivor asks at some point why they made it when loved ones and friends have not. I do not have the answer, only God does, but he does have a reason. I think it would be amazing to know why, but not entirely necessary in my life. I can speculate on my own….and say my prayers every day. Have a great day yall, and a great weekend. God Bless!

smile

Smile, slow down, and stop for a minute. Do you feel like your fuse just got lit and you're gonna explode? Don't. Why is this person pushing your buttons? What in their life led them to this moment? Not everything they have done may be their fault. Now their reaction is their choice, but WAIT, so is yours. Your reaction at this moment is just as important as theirs. You are in control of your reaction and your life, just as they are theirs. What is your choice? The choice that the good Lord would have us make, or as the girls say the "down there" choice? Make a good choice today, and when something stresses you take a breath and while you're drawing it in and letting it out, say a prayer. God Bless!

basket ball camp

Image
The girls had their first day of Basket Ball Camp yesterday and they looked sooo cute! The front of their shirts said something about "they didn't call them opponents, they called them victims", then the back said, "bring on the next victim". They didn't have Lex's size though! They all had a great time. Lex shot some, Eme made her first goal with no help, and Ele was fought over by high school kids when they found out how well she could take the ball down the court. When Daddy picked them up they didn't talk much in the car and crashed at the house, then Eme was asleep by 6:30. Think they could offer camp every day? Just kidding. Have a great day yall, and remember that God never gives us more than we can bear! God Bless!

walk

We walked in the 5K Chasing the Cure Sat morning, went shopping to pick up stuff for the Relay this Friday night, then hosted a neighborhood swim and cookout yesterday afternoon. We had a great time, and are rearing to go for the week…..uh huh. Smile yall you'll feel better! God Bless!

walk

Tomorrow morning Robert and I are walking in the "Chasing the Cure" 5k. It is going to be beautiful, and hopefully not too hot. Hope all of you have a wonderful weekend. Please pray for a family friend who is beginning treatment and has lost her faith. Faith is a part of a miracle. God Bless!

Eme and Rebel fell asleep on the couch together last night. Rebel wasn't supposed to be on the couch, and Eme was hugging her, when I heard Eme snoring. It was so cute! One of my favorite things about this pic is Ele's little chubby hands. She still has them, but Super Girl is getting big. God Bless!

HOUDINI

Yesterday Robert came home from lunch and Zeus was out of his pen. So Robert found a little hole he was sure he couldn't have gotten out of, put dirt there and put him back in. He go out and Robert put him back in. So Robert eating lunch watched as Zeus climbed a 4 ft chain link fence, went over the barbwire on top, and stood in the yard. Robert was sure it was a fluke, so he put him back in and watched as he did it again. Robert chained him up and went to work, while calling me, needless to say agitated and excited. When we came home…no Zeus. We found him asleep on the back porch with the chain attached. Evidently it was rusty and he broke it. So I called Robert and he bought a new chain. Came home and last night we hooked him up. Then found him over by the swings…he had dug thru with the chain. So Daddy and Robert rigged it so he can't get near the fence. This morning he is still where we left him, but you only have to give little Houdini time! God Bless!

delinquent

Well, we have our first juvenile delinquent….and no, it's not Eme! Evidently "Crazy Lady" as we call her (our neighbor who is pitiful) was walking her little dog (who we know she brings up to the fence and reaches over it to mess with Atlas) yesterday while we were not at home (she only does when she thinks we're not home)….Well guess who was out all this weekend and did very well….Zeus. Yes you see it coming…..Crazy Lady came up to the fence and Zeus somehow crawled under it and scratched her leg trying to play with her little dog. Needless to say Daddy had to speak to the Sheriff after they took pics of her leg, and they said we had nothing to worry about because they could see we took care of our animals. When Robert heard that he said, "Yeah because they're all fat!" Please pray for "Crazy Lady"…she REALLY does have serious issues. Have a great day yall, and hats off to you and your own loveable juvenile delinquents! God Bless!

pool

At our house the pool season began yesterday. We had a great time, no pics though…sorry! I jumped in and then tried to balance on this float….what a laugh! My rear could hardly stay on it….it was sooo narrow with the kids playing in the water it kept trying to flip, so I said I'd lay out on the deck. Needless to say I got the thing on the deck and Robert lays the other one just like it beside of it….I called him a smart alec and he says, "Well you said it wasn't big enough…." I said, "yeah in the pool! I'm not that big!" He laughed and I mumbled a few choice names…..Have a great day yall! God Bless!
