relay

Tonight we have our Relay for Life. Our team at work, which I am proudly captain, has done well this year, not as great as last year, but considering the economy, I am very proud. I do feel a special connection to the American Cancer Society because they offered so much to help me. They are a cause that I believe in. For those of you who have not had the pleasure of experiencing one, you need to. Especially the luminaria ceremony, the honoring of those who have made it, and in memory of those who have not. I believe that every survivor asks at some point why they made it when loved ones and friends have not. I do not have the answer, only God does, but he does have a reason. I think it would be amazing to know why, but not entirely necessary in my life. I can speculate on my own….and say my prayers every day. Have a great day yall, and a great weekend.

A girl I work with's daughter was in the Mexican resturant eating when she felt something lick and nibble her foot. She looked under the table and saw...yep you guessed it....a mouse. She screams, kicks the mouse and looks and the mouse can't run...she's broke it's leg. So the waiters got the mouse, and she got her meal for free, but she couldn't eat it! haha! Moral of the story. strength

Some days we don't feel as though we have the strength to do much of anything.  To get up, to eat, to not eat, to fight the daily battle of traffic, work, or relationships....why?  Mainly because we lose our confidence.  Our confidence in the ability to "handle" things.  Remember the verse: "I  can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me." Phillipians 4:13.    We have talked before about how we are not alone, but we have not discussed how the devil attacks our confidence in the ability to achieve.  The ability that when we are doing what the Lord wants we can accomplish it through Him...not alone.  Repeatedly through the Bible God says that he will not forsaken us for he is with us.  If you have a doubt about something, first is it something that God wishes, second if it is then know that the devil is in play...including the attempted breakdown of your inner strength.  After you realize that keep telling yourself that God is with you and you have the
