cookin

I hurt my wrist almost two weeks ago, and finally went to the Dr yesterday. I have damaged my tendons and have to wait for them to heal. Needless to say in the middle of canning and Veggie season is not the optimum time, but then when is right? The girls have been helping me so much with the cookin! The boys (Jess' two, Colton and Dalton) come over on Sunday afternoons and help can, so it is working out great! The girls made cheesy Zucchini muffins and Pina Colada cake last night. They did so good and I was so proud. We had a lot of fun, and they were sayin, I made that! At least all of the kids will know how to feed themselves!

A girl I work with's daughter was in the Mexican resturant eating when she felt something lick and nibble her foot. She looked under the table and saw...yep you guessed it....a mouse. She screams, kicks the mouse and looks and the mouse can't run...she's broke it's leg. So the waiters got the mouse, and she got her meal for free, but she couldn't eat it! haha! Moral of the story. strength

Some days we don't feel as though we have the strength to do much of anything.  To get up, to eat, to not eat, to fight the daily battle of traffic, work, or relationships....why?  Mainly because we lose our confidence.  Our confidence in the ability to "handle" things.  Remember the verse: "I  can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me." Phillipians 4:13.    We have talked before about how we are not alone, but we have not discussed how the devil attacks our confidence in the ability to achieve.  The ability that when we are doing what the Lord wants we can accomplish it through Him...not alone.  Repeatedly through the Bible God says that he will not forsaken us for he is with us.  If you have a doubt about something, first is it something that God wishes, second if it is then know that the devil is in play...including the attempted breakdown of your inner strength.  After you realize that keep telling yourself that God is with you and you have the
