purpose

We all wonder what our purpose in life is......then we question, "Will we ever truly know?" Will we only know at that last breath we draw what our life was about? Or...will we make our own way, not what we have been shaped into by society, but a way that the Lord has called us to make? Are we listening? I got this in an email and loved it....

"If you have a pulse you have a purpose "

Hey, I'm still out here. I like to come check on ya'll from time to time. If I ever discover my "purpose" in life before it's too late I'll be shocked. If you ever think of any single women please let me know. Apparently I don't need to be choosing for myself, I am obviously terrible at it!! I'll talk to you again sometime,

A girl I work with's daughter was in the Mexican resturant eating when she felt something lick and nibble her foot. She looked under the table and saw...yep you guessed it....a mouse. She screams, kicks the mouse and looks and the mouse can't run...she's broke it's leg. So the waiters got the mouse, and she got her meal for free, but she couldn't eat it! haha! Moral of the story. strength

Some days we don't feel as though we have the strength to do much of anything.  To get up, to eat, to not eat, to fight the daily battle of traffic, work, or relationships....why?  Mainly because we lose our confidence.  Our confidence in the ability to "handle" things.  Remember the verse: "I  can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me." Phillipians 4:13.    We have talked before about how we are not alone, but we have not discussed how the devil attacks our confidence in the ability to achieve.  The ability that when we are doing what the Lord wants we can accomplish it through Him...not alone.  Repeatedly through the Bible God says that he will not forsaken us for he is with us.  If you have a doubt about something, first is it something that God wishes, second if it is then know that the devil is in play...including the attempted breakdown of your inner strength.  After you realize that keep telling yourself that God is with you and you have the
