thankful

Wow!  What a great weekend!  We got to be with friends, family, and loved ones all weekend.  Yesterday would have been Aunt Edith's 97th bday...I swear I heard her cackle in church when they played her song (which Jess and Doug can rock anyday!). Then we got to go help with the Nashville Down Syndrome Easter Egg Hunt, and let me just tell yall we had a ball!  Thanks to the Kellum/Lane bunch for always allowing us to join in the family, it means so much.  On the way home we all told something we learned or touched by....we all mentioned one little girl who posed and smiled all of the time with super long blond hair, and her name...Heavenly.  If you have a hard time admitting God has a plan....You should have been there this weekend, for you would have seen miracles in smiling faces.  Not for the children with DS, but for the families God has blessed...ALL of us.

A girl I work with's daughter was in the Mexican resturant eating when she felt something lick and nibble her foot. She looked under the table and saw...yep you guessed it....a mouse. She screams, kicks the mouse and looks and the mouse can't run...she's broke it's leg. So the waiters got the mouse, and she got her meal for free, but she couldn't eat it! haha! Moral of the story. strength

Some days we don't feel as though we have the strength to do much of anything.  To get up, to eat, to not eat, to fight the daily battle of traffic, work, or relationships....why?  Mainly because we lose our confidence.  Our confidence in the ability to "handle" things.  Remember the verse: "I  can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me." Phillipians 4:13.    We have talked before about how we are not alone, but we have not discussed how the devil attacks our confidence in the ability to achieve.  The ability that when we are doing what the Lord wants we can accomplish it through Him...not alone.  Repeatedly through the Bible God says that he will not forsaken us for he is with us.  If you have a doubt about something, first is it something that God wishes, second if it is then know that the devil is in play...including the attempted breakdown of your inner strength.  After you realize that keep telling yourself that God is with you and you have the
