faith

Faith...What a beautiful word.  Yes it is Lex's middle name, but its meaning has been in existence for thousands of years.  In the Bible one of my favorite verses is concerning faith.  Our faith will lead us through life's trials and tribulations.  In the Old Testament, the Hebrew word means steadfastness.  Do we have steadfastness in God?  Lets break it down further, steadfastness means determination.  Determination means that we have our focus on God and keep it on him no matter what comes our way....the trials and tribulations of life.  I was not the best patient while undergoing transplant.  I laughed when one of the Dr's was looking for a word to describe me...I told him I knew what he wanted to call me, but he could call me determined.  The thing is that for as difficult of a patient as I was, the staff volunteered for my case.  Why?  I was told it was because I was positive.  God wants us to live a plentiful life, a happy life, and a full life.  He wants us to LIVE.  Keep being determined through the problems that arise today....now let’s say it the other way....Keep the FAITH today.  

For we walk by faith, not by sight. - 2 Corinthians 5:7

A girl I work with's daughter was in the Mexican resturant eating when she felt something lick and nibble her foot. She looked under the table and saw...yep you guessed it....a mouse. She screams, kicks the mouse and looks and the mouse can't run...she's broke it's leg. So the waiters got the mouse, and she got her meal for free, but she couldn't eat it! haha! Moral of the story. strength

Some days we don't feel as though we have the strength to do much of anything.  To get up, to eat, to not eat, to fight the daily battle of traffic, work, or relationships....why?  Mainly because we lose our confidence.  Our confidence in the ability to "handle" things.  Remember the verse: "I  can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me." Phillipians 4:13.    We have talked before about how we are not alone, but we have not discussed how the devil attacks our confidence in the ability to achieve.  The ability that when we are doing what the Lord wants we can accomplish it through Him...not alone.  Repeatedly through the Bible God says that he will not forsaken us for he is with us.  If you have a doubt about something, first is it something that God wishes, second if it is then know that the devil is in play...including the attempted breakdown of your inner strength.  After you realize that keep telling yourself that God is with you and you have the
