lots to talk about
So much running thru my head:
- School- It's the girls first day back to school. Say a prayer for them and all the teachers...that includes all my friends.
- Prayer- Christy's (a dear old friend...no she's not old, our friendship is! haha!) husband needs prayer for strength in facing surgery....we all know that can be scary
- Blog- I have been getting comments recently on my blog, from people around the world. All of your feedback and encouragement means so much. I say that I know I lived to be here for my girls, but I have always felt like it was also to help others learn to live each day, not to take life for granted as I did, to live positively, and to try and be the best benefit to others that you can be. I just recently realized that I also really need to focus on showing others how God has worked in me by expressing and showing how he works through me. I want each of you to know that I am seriously taking the challenge of showing others I am a Christian by my actions, not just my words. I challenge each of you as well, and thank you for giving me the opportunity to write, what I am so blessed that you read.
- Church- When people say the words "When I really felt the spirit of God.." I automatically think about when I went to Aunt Shirley's family church in the hills of West Virgina as a teenager and sang. The church was small, but the spirit was large, and I lifted my voice even though I have never been known to sing. Their choir was led by a girl with Downs Syndrome. I felt the spirit so much that day it enfolded me and I remember thinking that it was the most comforting happy feeling...just elation. God is Good! Well, I am reminded of it every morning when Quito and I listen to my old time Gospel music as I get ready. They have started playing this song and it reminds me of that time in my life. I start my mornings soooo happy! I wanted to share with you the song and say a special Thanks to Aunt Shirley and Uncle Jerry for allowing me to have the precious memories: (turn up your sound for this one) http://praisegathering.com/sounds/gg2226_1_01.mp3
- Rebel- Our big baby girl inside who went to college with us, and has been with us thru marriage, kids, and yes even cancer. She brings us such joy, and bless her heart enjoyment at watching her be tormented by the newest member of the family, Quito. Rebel is 13 years old today.
- Robert- Sunday is our 12th anniversary....and yes we have been trough it all together including laughter and tears, in sickness and in health. Thank you Pookie! I love you with almost (God, the kids, cats, etc have a good chunk! haha!) all of my heart!
Hope all of yall have a great weekend!
God Bless!
