girls

I have had a great week off with the girls! We have had a ball. Hope all of you had a great 4th! Eme had a great party and birthday….the big girl is 6! Wow! Tonight though really capped it all off. We were watching Hannah Montana and she had tried to keep something from her Dad, and it hurt him. I was in the kitchen and the girls with Robert were in the living room. I leaned back, waggled my eyebrows and said, "Yall are supposed to tell your Momma everything aren't you? You always tell your Momma stuff, cause Momma knows!" Then Robert thought he would chime in and say, "Yeah your Momma and Daddy know everything!" I then said, "Now edit that. Girls who knows everthing? Who knows?" Robert had walked in the kitchen by this point and was behind me so I'm mouthing "Momma". Ele smiles holds her arms up in the air and says, "The Brackin Girls!". I laughed so hard!!! Robert just put down his head and was shaking it.

A girl I work with's daughter was in the Mexican resturant eating when she felt something lick and nibble her foot. She looked under the table and saw...yep you guessed it....a mouse. She screams, kicks the mouse and looks and the mouse can't run...she's broke it's leg. So the waiters got the mouse, and she got her meal for free, but she couldn't eat it! haha! Moral of the story. strength

Some days we don't feel as though we have the strength to do much of anything.  To get up, to eat, to not eat, to fight the daily battle of traffic, work, or relationships....why?  Mainly because we lose our confidence.  Our confidence in the ability to "handle" things.  Remember the verse: "I  can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me." Phillipians 4:13.    We have talked before about how we are not alone, but we have not discussed how the devil attacks our confidence in the ability to achieve.  The ability that when we are doing what the Lord wants we can accomplish it through Him...not alone.  Repeatedly through the Bible God says that he will not forsaken us for he is with us.  If you have a doubt about something, first is it something that God wishes, second if it is then know that the devil is in play...including the attempted breakdown of your inner strength.  After you realize that keep telling yourself that God is with you and you have the
