pray

Please pray for one of Uncle Jerry's best friends as he has just gotten a very hard diagnosis. You know we never know when our time is, but some of us have a better idea. Dr's give us a warning, or a timeframe, but don't you think God does too? He warns us when what we are doing is not good for ourselves, we just have to be willing to listen. We may not always want to hear it, kind of like the Dr's, but we have a choice to try, just like technology with medicine, gives us a chance to fight. I know that God has a lot better weapons against that which threatens us, wether it is sin, sorrow, death, dying, and the peace that passes understanding. Live in today, for it is the day God has made, rejoice and be glad in it.

A girl I work with's daughter was in the Mexican resturant eating when she felt something lick and nibble her foot. She looked under the table and saw...yep you guessed it....a mouse. She screams, kicks the mouse and looks and the mouse can't run...she's broke it's leg. So the waiters got the mouse, and she got her meal for free, but she couldn't eat it! haha! Moral of the story. strength

Some days we don't feel as though we have the strength to do much of anything.  To get up, to eat, to not eat, to fight the daily battle of traffic, work, or relationships....why?  Mainly because we lose our confidence.  Our confidence in the ability to "handle" things.  Remember the verse: "I  can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me." Phillipians 4:13.    We have talked before about how we are not alone, but we have not discussed how the devil attacks our confidence in the ability to achieve.  The ability that when we are doing what the Lord wants we can accomplish it through Him...not alone.  Repeatedly through the Bible God says that he will not forsaken us for he is with us.  If you have a doubt about something, first is it something that God wishes, second if it is then know that the devil is in play...including the attempted breakdown of your inner strength.  After you realize that keep telling yourself that God is with you and you have the
