nuts

Evidently the other day after school Daddy told Ele he had gotten her some packaged brownies to eat. Ele went and looked, but came back with something else. Daddy asked her why and she said they have nuts on them and she likes the kind with sprinkles, she doesn't like nuts. Daddy says she needs to try something new. The go back and forth till Eme speaks up and says that Ele doesn't like nuts. Daddy says, well I know, but you really don't know till you try them. Ele says, "Da, there's two things I don't like. Nuts and tryin somethin!" Uncle Jerry says that is just like my Daddy and it was so funny that Ele is the same way. Robert says that is because they are both Brackin's!

A girl I work with's daughter was in the Mexican resturant eating when she felt something lick and nibble her foot. She looked under the table and saw...yep you guessed it....a mouse. She screams, kicks the mouse and looks and the mouse can't run...she's broke it's leg. So the waiters got the mouse, and she got her meal for free, but she couldn't eat it! haha! Moral of the story. strength

Some days we don't feel as though we have the strength to do much of anything.  To get up, to eat, to not eat, to fight the daily battle of traffic, work, or relationships....why?  Mainly because we lose our confidence.  Our confidence in the ability to "handle" things.  Remember the verse: "I  can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me." Phillipians 4:13.    We have talked before about how we are not alone, but we have not discussed how the devil attacks our confidence in the ability to achieve.  The ability that when we are doing what the Lord wants we can accomplish it through Him...not alone.  Repeatedly through the Bible God says that he will not forsaken us for he is with us.  If you have a doubt about something, first is it something that God wishes, second if it is then know that the devil is in play...including the attempted breakdown of your inner strength.  After you realize that keep telling yourself that God is with you and you have the
