studies

I saw a new study on the news yesterday....Anxiety affects the heart.....really? How many times have we read about these studies, and said, well, I could have told you that! We realize that it takes a lot of money, time, and thought. We consider it wasted. We have to remember though that there are a lot of people out there who do not have something called, common sense. Considering that, and the fact that some of these "simpleton" tests do evolve into real thought provoking tests, we allow the exception to them. Couldn't that be the case to many things in our lives, including us? For instance, do you think God is watching going, "What are they thinking?!?...no wait they have to learn on their own." He has GREAT patience with us. Do you think you could give someone else some of your patience today?

A girl I work with's daughter was in the Mexican resturant eating when she felt something lick and nibble her foot. She looked under the table and saw...yep you guessed it....a mouse. She screams, kicks the mouse and looks and the mouse can't run...she's broke it's leg. So the waiters got the mouse, and she got her meal for free, but she couldn't eat it! haha! Moral of the story. strength

Some days we don't feel as though we have the strength to do much of anything.  To get up, to eat, to not eat, to fight the daily battle of traffic, work, or relationships....why?  Mainly because we lose our confidence.  Our confidence in the ability to "handle" things.  Remember the verse: "I  can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me." Phillipians 4:13.    We have talked before about how we are not alone, but we have not discussed how the devil attacks our confidence in the ability to achieve.  The ability that when we are doing what the Lord wants we can accomplish it through Him...not alone.  Repeatedly through the Bible God says that he will not forsaken us for he is with us.  If you have a doubt about something, first is it something that God wishes, second if it is then know that the devil is in play...including the attempted breakdown of your inner strength.  After you realize that keep telling yourself that God is with you and you have the
