Day 7

We've been busy while Robert has been gone. We haven't let him know though so that it is a surprise. Isn't it fun to give someone a surprise. I know Robert has a lot for us also, I don't even know how many presents he is bringing back! He was laughing talking about Carlos and Olympia (his sister) last night. I guess Carlos was trying to get Robert to drink and dance at the wedding Saturday night and Olympia was telling him to leave Robert alone (they are all very protective of him. In fact when they all go somewhere they put him in the middle, and when he crosses the street they even hold his hand!!! I would have loved to see that!), anyhow Carlos was saying "Shuuut Up!" to Olympia. I guess they went back and forth on it, like little kids, even though they have grandkids! haha. Yesterday they went to "Old Quito". He has now taken 8 of the 10 (39) exposure cameras. He is taking his last two with him shopping today.

A girl I work with's daughter was in the Mexican resturant eating when she felt something lick and nibble her foot. She looked under the table and saw...yep you guessed it....a mouse. She screams, kicks the mouse and looks and the mouse can't run...she's broke it's leg. So the waiters got the mouse, and she got her meal for free, but she couldn't eat it! haha! Moral of the story. strength

Some days we don't feel as though we have the strength to do much of anything.  To get up, to eat, to not eat, to fight the daily battle of traffic, work, or relationships....why?  Mainly because we lose our confidence.  Our confidence in the ability to "handle" things.  Remember the verse: "I  can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me." Phillipians 4:13.    We have talked before about how we are not alone, but we have not discussed how the devil attacks our confidence in the ability to achieve.  The ability that when we are doing what the Lord wants we can accomplish it through Him...not alone.  Repeatedly through the Bible God says that he will not forsaken us for he is with us.  If you have a doubt about something, first is it something that God wishes, second if it is then know that the devil is in play...including the attempted breakdown of your inner strength.  After you realize that keep telling yourself that God is with you and you have the
